There are many regular events in the state of California.

  • Every New Years Pasadena hosts the Rose Parade followed by the Rose Bowl. Both events draw visitors from all over the L.A. basin. They help LA ring in the New Year. We have photographs of the Rose Bowl in our Pasadena section.
  • The Long Beach Grand Prix is a great event for racing enthusiasts.
  • The L.A. County Fair in Pomona is a great way to end the summer. We have pictures from the fair in the Pomona section.
  • Marina Del Rey has an annual boat parade just before Christmas. Our photos from the Marina Del Rey section show various scenic locations within the marina.
  • West Hollywood hosts tons of people in costumes every Halloween.
  • The Los Angeles Marathon is usually in early March every year. The 2003 Los Angeles Marathon starts on Figueroa near 5th. the runners head South to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. where they turn right and run West. They turn right again and head North on Crenshaw Blvd. They go west on Sawyer St. until they hit Robertson Blvd. They head North on Robertson Blvd. until reaching Pico Blvd. They run East on Pico Blvd. then North briefly and West on San Vicente Blvd. They go East on 6th St., 3rd St. and Olympic Blvd. Finishing up the race, they go North on Flower St. and end not far from the starting point.
