Venice Beach BooksVenice Beach PostersVenice Beach has been used frequently by Hollywood for movies and television.The TV Series, Baywatch started in 1989. It showed lifeguards in Southern California. They used Venice in many of the episodes. They filmed frequently on the beach and along the Ocean Front Walk. They also used the Venice Canals for filming as seen in the Living on the Fault episode.

The A-Team 8 in x 10 in Buy This Photo At AllPosters.com Framed | Mounted Three's Company starring John Ritter ran from 1974 to 1984. Unfortunately John Ritter passed away in 2003. The opening bicycle scene of each show was filmed at Venice Beach. 
Threes Company 8 in x 10 in Buy This Photo At AllPosters.com Framed | Mounted CHiPs was on the air from 1977 to 1983. They used the Venice fishing pier frequently in the series. They also used parts of Washington Street.

Grease, released in 1978, was a tremendously successful musical movie. They used Venice High School as Rydall High for this blockbuster movie that starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton John.
