Huntington Library and Hollywood
The Huntington Library has used in several movies. It was Robert Redford's
mansion in Indecent Proposal. It was used as the scene
for the tent party in The Nutty Professor.
Huntington Gardens Information
Henry Huntington first used his property as a working ranch.
Eventually it became a world-renowned research library.
Henry Huntington started the Botanical Garden in 1993.
The botanical gardens are now over 100 acres with plants and landscapes from all over the globe.
The Huntington Library has rare books and manuscripts from British and American history and literature.
It also has 15th century European books.
Some of the highlights of the library are as follows:
The Ellesmere manuscript of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales
A copy of the Gutenberg Bible on vellum
The double-elephant folio edition of Audubon's Birds of America
